Our Newest Sharks
Art - Art (Safety) - hmmmm... what do I have to say abou this kid? A lot! For starters, he is the most well conditioned athlete among the sharks. Yes - lupig ka hey! As a rookie, this kid accepted his position with open arms and made his presence felt in his very first game right away with an interception. With his desire to always learn, he has the potential to be one of the best safeties in the league.
The most memorable moment - leaving his shoes at home for the superbowl. Although he doesn't drink, he sure loves to party (as proven in our last christmas party!)
Recruiter - Erbagz
Michael (Wide Receiver) - Another rookie who surprised us all with his amazing hands. Even during his first few tryouts, it was evident that this was one gifted athlete. Proving to be a natural at this new sport that he jumped into; He probably dropped only 1 or 2 passes throughout his rookie season! Though he might be the quite type, his game alone does the talking. Never mind his good looks which I constantly hear about from fellow CFFLers. And don't forget his game tying touchdown against the flamingo's during the regular season. And for the superbowl - well, those were two CLEAN touchdowns with no penalties at all. An amazing rookie season for a great player who has the penchant for coming up big when it is needed the most. Keep it up mike!
His most memorable moment - getting thrown into the water during the christmas party.
Recruiter - Dodong
Chad (Defensive Back) - A seasoned veteran of the CFFL, chad comes to the sharks with his knowledge and experience. After the unavoidable break up of his own team, and after several off season talks, he finally decided to join the sharks. Even though his hectic schedule ( maestro man gud ni ) doesn't allow it, he finds time to practice with his newfound team. His experience on and off the field brings an added depth for the sharks defense. And in him, you will find the one person with the biggest heart for the team. And of course, who could forget the spaghettie... yum yum yum.
His most memorable moment - going for a tackle in a game and rolling on the ground to stop himself from falling face first.
Recruiter - Harry
Iannix (Tight End) - The prototypical Tight End - Can block, run and catch. With just as much experience and knowledge as his ex MOB teammate who joined him in jumping ship, and with a season's worth of vision from the QB position, he always has something to add to the offense. Little suggestions here and there, which adds up to Touchdowns and Victories. Though he lives far from the sharks lair, he still finds his way sometimes to be present during practice, but always around during TAGAY. Just kidding !
His most memorable moment - After Falcon throws a laser guided bullet pass which bounces off his chest during a regular season game, he says "sorry, nakuyawan ko kay kusug ka ayo". hahahah
Recruiter - Harry
Makol (defensive line) - If I could genetically copy a football player in the defensive line position - he would be my specimen. A player who has been around for almost as long as the CFFL has. But getting little respect, he finally had his break out game against the flamingo's in the regular season with 5 sacks ( ? ). With as much heart as he has talent, he as an avid footballer who finally got his first championship. His precence and tenacity during practice bleeds off to other players to make a day's session worthwhile.
His most memorable moment - I can't think of any - if you do, let me know!
Recruiter - Falcon
Madolin (Corner) - A seasoned veteran of the game. He joined the sharks when it was clear that ex shark aine latonio would not return. With some experience at the corner, he practiced it and honed his skills to become a corner that any coach would die for. With interceptions scattered throughout the season and bunched in the superbowl, he makes his zone very difficult for opposing teams to look his way. His speed in the open field rivals the top runners in the league. And with this kid's athleticism and never say die attitude, I am sure he can be a force to reckon with in any position he plays.
His most memorable moment - " Ayaw lang ko sug suga ba "
Recruiter - Makol
All together, these 6 players (2 rookies and 4 veterans ) have adapted, learned and adjusted themselves to the sharks. And in the end, it was their play, their heart, their determination that helped in Superbowl 7. A big toast for the newest Sharks!!!

FOOTBALL'S QUOTES
Vince Lombardi
In 1959, the Packers announced the signing of New York Giants assistant Vince Lombardi as head coach and general manager.
In his first season, Lombardi lifted the Packers to a 7-5 record and unanimously was voted Coach of the Year. Then in 1960, the Packers captured the Western Division title and went on to win World Championships in 1961, 1962, 1965, 1966 and 1967. Never finishing lower than second since 1960, his teams became the standard of football excellence and the Packer franchise one of the most successful.
Over a nine-year span as head coach, Lombardi's teams racked up 98 victories against 30 losses and 4 ties for a remarkable .758 winning percentage. Even more noteworthy, however, is the record of Lombardi coached teams in postseason play. In 10 division playoffs and World Championship games, the Packers emerged victorious nine times.
Certainly not noted as a man of few words, following are some gems from the great man himself.

Even more noteworthy, however, is the record of Lombardi coached teams in postseason play. In 10 division playoffs and World Championship games, the Packers emerged victorious nine times.
Certainly not noted as a man of few words, following are some gems from the great man himself.
- INTENSITY
"There's only one way to succeed in anything, and that is to give it everything. I do, and I demand that my players do."
"If you aren't fired with enthusiasm, you'll be fired with enthusiasm."
"Mental toughness is essential to success."
"You never win a game unless you beat the guy in front of you. The score on the board doesn't mean a thing. That's for the fans. You've got to win the war with the man in front of you. You've got to get your man."
- SACRIFICE
"To achieve success, whatever the job we have, we must pay a price."
"Success is like anything worthwhile. It has a price. You have to pay the price to win and you have to pay the price to get to the point where success is possible. Most important, you must pay the price to stay there."
"Football is a great deal like life in that it teaches that work, sacrifice, perseverance, competitive drive, selflessness and respect for authority is the price each and every one of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile."
"Once you agree upon the price you and your family must pay for success, it enables you to ignore the minor hurts, the opponent's pressure, and the temporary failures."
- BELIEF
"Confidence is contagious and so is lack of confidence, and a customer will recognize both."
"If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done."
"Unless a man believes in himself and makes a total commitment to his career and puts everything he has into it-his mind, his body and his heart-what is life worth to him? If I were a salesman, I would make this commitment to my company, to the product and most of all, to myself."
- COMMITMENT
"The quality of a person's life is in direct proportion to their commitment to excellence, regardless of their chosen field of endeavor."
"Once a man has made a commitment to a way of life, he puts the greatest strength in the world behind him. It's something we call heart power. Once a man has made this commitment, nothing will stop him short of success." "Unless a man believes in himself and makes a total commitment to his career and puts everything he has into it-his mind, his body, his heart-what's life worth to him.
- CHARACTER
"It is essential to understand that battles are primarily won in the hearts of men."
"In great attempts, it is glorious even to fail."
"They may not love you at the time, but they will later."
- LEADERSHIP
" Leadership rests not only upon ability, not only upon capacity; having the capacity to lead is not enough. The leader must be willing to use it. His leadership is then based on truth and character. There must be truth in the purpose and will power in the character."
"Leadership is based on a spiritual quality; the power to inspire, the power to inspire others to follow."
"Having the capacity to lead is not enough. The leader must be willing to use it."
"A leader must identify himself with the group, must back up the group, even at the risk of displeasing superiors. He must believe that the group wants from him a sense of approval. If this feeling prevails, production, discipline, morale will be high, and in return, you can demand the cooperation to promote the goals of the company."
"Leaders are made, they are not born. They are made by hard effort, which is the price which all of us must pay to achieve any goal that is worthwhile."
- PREPARATION
"They call it coaching but it is teaching. You do not just tell them…you show them the reasons."
"The harder you work, the harder it is to surrender."
- DESIRE
"The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will."
"The spirit, the will to win and the will to excel-these are the things that endure and these are the qualities that are so much more important than any of the events that occasion them."
"It is essential to understand that battles are primarily won in the hearts of men. Men respond to leadership in a most remarkable way and once you have won his heart, he will follow you anywhere."
"A man can be as great as he wants to be. If you believe in yourself and have the courage, the determination, the dedication, the competitive drive and if you are willing to sacrifice the little things in life and pay the price for the things that are worthwhile, it can be done."
"If you'll not settle for anything less than your best, you will be amazed at what you can accomplish in your lives.
"It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up."
- DISCIPLINE
"I've never known a man worth his salt who in the long run, deep down in his heart, didn't appreciate the grind, the discipline. There is something good in men that really yearns for discipline."
"The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind you have to convince."
"Mental toughness is many things and rather difficult to explain. Its qualities are sacrifice and self-denial. Also, most importantly, it is combined with a perfectly disciplined will that refuses to give in. It's a state of mind-you could call it character in action."
"Once you learn to quit, it becomes a habit."
- TEAMWORK
"Individual commitment to a group effort-that is what makes a team work, a company work, a society work, a civilization work."
"Teams do not go physically flat, they go mentally stale."
"Teamwork is what the Green Bay Packers were all about. They didn't do it for individual glory. They did it because they loved one another."
"People who work together will win, whether it be against complex football defenses, or the problems of modern society."
"The achievements of an organization are the results of the combined effort of each individual."
- WINNING
"Success demands singleness of purpose."
"Some of us will do our jobs well and some will not, but we will be judged by only one thing-the result."
"Winning is not a sometime thing: it's an all the time thing. You don't win once in a while; you don't do the right thing once in a while; you do them right all the time. Winning is a habit. Unfortunately, so is losing."
"Winning is not everything--but making effort to win is."
"It's easy to have faith in yourself and have discipline when you're a winner, when you're number one. What you've got to have is faith and discipline when you're not yet a winner."
"I firmly believe that any man's finest hour, the greatest fulfillment of all that he holds dear, is the moment when he has worked his heart out in a good cause and lies exhausted on the field of battle-victorious."
" Sharks and sharkettes read this quotes and make this our inspiration to win the national championship"
GodBless to all and MERRY CHRISTMAS....
"The game of life is a lot like football. You tackle your problems, block your fears, and score your points when you get the opportunity."

tribute to the sharks great wall
'the wall'
yes he is our very own DONDON PAGOBO, the man behind the sharks greatness in stopping the pink bird... He's been always emotional to the game as he do really love flag football, his strength on and off the field was our inspiration in every game we played. Dondon as we all know is a quite type of person but his ability to take his toughness to the next level in every critical game we played was the sharks key to victory, "YO D MAN". Now his taking a month-off to the game of football as he flew his way to dubai... we all gonna miss you don. We... the sharks and sharkettes will surely gonna hard time finding another man like the wall, wala nay kusog mukaon ug linarang na bakasi hehehe.... But don't count him out yet guys... he'll surely be back this february for our national championship against the manila team... We will win this.................. Go sharks and sharkettes.................. This is our time...................
We just have to believe and trust each other, thats our key now..............
For now.... enjoy our break guys, see you this december 22 for our Christmas party...
Harry A. Radaza.... We all thank you man for giving us the chance to play football.... Yo give us the heart man...... Thank you...........

to towels and mohawks
Super towel
Unsurprisingly, Mary Rose Arman bagged the Superbowl Most Valuable Player award after blazing through Alpha Lipton Hot Teas excuse for a defense.(sic)
Arman, once again, led the undefeated Sharkettes to their 5th championsip title, slotting in 18 points to match's final score of 26-6.
The Season MVP award, of course, is given to the sole player who had miraculously scored a touchdown against the otherwise unblemished Sharkette's shut-out record.Must admit, that was some feat. Kudos to her (whatever her forgettable name was) and to her towellete (which was more memorable).
We eat birds for dinner
Remaining time of Sharks-Flaminogs Superbowl match was 9 minutes and 24 seconds. Score was at 19 for the Sharks and 2 for the Flamingos. Oh..I have to mention, that was 2 points for a safety.
Junjun Celocia and Hey Falcon proved to be the unbeatable tandem that day as they turned pink to red and drew first blood. The offense displayed flawless synchronized play after play, results of dedication, practice and well, undeniable skill.
So admirable was their performance that the Flamingos' QB couldn't resist passing the ball to Allan Varron. This is the 3rd, if not the 4th, Superbowl match where former MVP Varron intercepted Pritchard's pass. Players are suspecting a relationship between the two.hahaha
Need I mention, 2 unacknowledged td's by newbie-cutie Mandolin?
Suffice to say, the Flamingoes became the main course and surely, the Sharks were not lacking in appetite.
Remaining time was 9:24.
But really, would it have mattered?
Yes, say the more optimistic. Anything can happen in 9 minutes and 24 seconds. But that day, luck wan't wearing pink. And no amount of Revicon Ion bottles could have switched the course.
Must have been the mohawks.
