Our Newest Sharks

Art - Art (Safety) - hmmmm... what do I have to say abou this kid? A lot! For starters, he is the most well conditioned athlete among the sharks. Yes - lupig ka hey! As a rookie, this kid accepted his position with open arms and made his presence felt in his very first game right away with an interception. With his desire to always learn, he has the potential to be one of the best safeties in the league.

The most memorable moment - leaving his shoes at home for the superbowl. Although he doesn't drink, he sure loves to party (as proven in our last christmas party!)
Recruiter - Erbagz

Michael (Wide Receiver) - Another rookie who surprised us all with his amazing hands. Even during his first few tryouts, it was evident that this was one gifted athlete. Proving to be a natural at this new sport that he jumped into; He probably dropped only 1 or 2 passes throughout his rookie season! Though he might be the quite type, his game alone does the talking. Never mind his good looks which I constantly hear about from fellow CFFLers. And don't forget his game tying touchdown against the flamingo's during the regular season. And for the superbowl - well, those were two CLEAN touchdowns with no penalties at all. An amazing rookie season for a great player who has the penchant for coming up big when it is needed the most. Keep it up mike!

His most memorable moment - getting thrown into the water during the christmas party.
Recruiter - Dodong

Chad (Defensive Back) - A seasoned veteran of the CFFL, chad comes to the sharks with his knowledge and experience. After the unavoidable break up of his own team, and after several off season talks, he finally decided to join the sharks. Even though his hectic schedule ( maestro man gud ni ) doesn't allow it, he finds time to practice with his newfound team. His experience on and off the field brings an added depth for the sharks defense. And in him, you will find the one person with the biggest heart for the team. And of course, who could forget the spaghettie... yum yum yum.

His most memorable moment - going for a tackle in a game and rolling on the ground to stop himself from falling face first.

Recruiter - Harry

Iannix (Tight End) - The prototypical Tight End - Can block, run and catch. With just as much experience and knowledge as his ex MOB teammate who joined him in jumping ship, and with a season's worth of vision from the QB position, he always has something to add to the offense. Little suggestions here and there, which adds up to Touchdowns and Victories. Though he lives far from the sharks lair, he still finds his way sometimes to be present during practice, but always around during TAGAY. Just kidding !

His most memorable moment - After Falcon throws a laser guided bullet pass which bounces off his chest during a regular season game, he says "sorry, nakuyawan ko kay kusug ka ayo". hahahah
Recruiter - Harry

Makol (defensive line) - If I could genetically copy a football player in the defensive line position - he would be my specimen. A player who has been around for almost as long as the CFFL has. But getting little respect, he finally had his break out game against the flamingo's in the regular season with 5 sacks ( ? ). With as much heart as he has talent, he as an avid footballer who finally got his first championship. His precence and tenacity during practice bleeds off to other players to make a day's session worthwhile.

His most memorable moment - I can't think of any - if you do, let me know!
Recruiter - Falcon

Madolin (Corner) - A seasoned veteran of the game. He joined the sharks when it was clear that ex shark aine latonio would not return. With some experience at the corner, he practiced it and honed his skills to become a corner that any coach would die for. With interceptions scattered throughout the season and bunched in the superbowl, he makes his zone very difficult for opposing teams to look his way. His speed in the open field rivals the top runners in the league. And with this kid's athleticism and never say die attitude, I am sure he can be a force to reckon with in any position he plays.

His most memorable moment - " Ayaw lang ko sug suga ba "
Recruiter - Makol

All together, these 6 players (2 rookies and 4 veterans ) have adapted, learned and adjusted themselves to the sharks. And in the end, it was their play, their heart, their determination that helped in Superbowl 7. A big toast for the newest Sharks!!!
